Wuzhi Mountain

Image of Wuzhi MountainAs Hainan's tallest peak and possibly it most enduring landmark, forest-green Wuzhi Mountain is located at the very heart of the island and its indigenous peoples.

Wuzhi, which in the Chinese language means "five fingers", gets its name from the fact that the mountain has five peaks which resemble the five long leaves found atop a palm tree. The highest peak of the mountain is 1,867 m and hikers to the area will discover a rich landscape and panoramic views.
