Tropical Wanning City is the verdant gateway to one of Hainan Island's most lush and colourful areas rich in gardens, forests and hot springs.

Located just off the Eastern Expressway, Wanning has a population of about 500,000 and serves as a regional business and shopping centre as well as a transportation centre. Visitors to Wanning are advised not to miss out on the Hele crab, Gangbei prawns and Dongshan mutton. The area is also noted for its Xinglong coffee.
