Memorial Temple in the Five Officials

Image of Memorial Temple in the Five OfficialsLocated in southeast Haikou near Qiongshan, the Memorial Temple to the Five Officials was built in honour of five revered government officials - Li Deyu, Li Gang, Li Guang, Zhao Ding and Hu Quan - who were banished to Hainan Island in the Tang and Song dynasties.

The site is made up of several historic wooden structures including the main building, the Memorial Temple to Su Dongpo and the Memorial Temple to General Ma Fubo. The site also features a pavilion and garden and provides a quiet place for meditation.
