Datian Eld's Deer Protection Area is a national-level natural reserved established specifically to protect Eld's deer (cervus eldi), which, sadly, is an endangered species.

Located in Datian Township about 20 km from Dongfang City, the area is a lush green haven for these beautiful animals and makes a pleasant sightseeing destination for families with young children.
